Llandudno Hotel GuideLlandudno's promenade is peppered with hotels. In fact every building along the sea front offers accommodation of some description and seeing as this is the largest resort in Wales its no surprise. The Grand (0870 787 0555) is probably the most famous and is situated on its own next to the pier. Prices can be expensive and throughout the summer months it is difficult to get a room in the Grand without booking well in advance. A feature of The Grand hotel is that it hosts entertainment every night. Situated close to The Grand hotel and opposite the pier is the St Tudno Hotel offering genuine and luxurious sea front accommodation. The St Tudno hotel (0871 995 8268) has countless awards for its cuisine, wine list and service. It is well positioned for the middle of town, and has meticulous attention to detail as well as personal service. The hotel stands under the sanctuary of the Great Orme and even has its own indoor heated swimming pool. Further along the sea front, The Shelbourne Hotel (01492 879660) is perfect for the North Wales Theatre and is family owned and run. The Imperial Hotel (0500 700788) offers all the benefits of the Best Western chain including 100 rooms, a health suite with heated swimming pool, conference facilities for 150 delegates, licensed civil weddings and an award winning restaurant overlooking the promenade. Away from the sea front accommodation, Llandudno's back streets remain very wide and each side is again littered with Bed & Breakfast accommodation and small hotels. The prices here are more reasonable but again book early to avoid disappointment. The local tourist information office (01492573887) can provide further information on hotel and bed & breakfast accommodation in Llandudno. Need to travel?
