Shopping in the City Centre

Liverpool is perceived by many as being less expensive than other British cities and this is certainly the case when it comes to shopping. Big high street names compete with good independent shops and along with the many indoor markets and precincts so it is easy to find a bargain. Church Street is the main shopping focus and its here that you'll find all the big high street names including a massive Top Man / Top Shop, 3 story Zara, River Island, and Next amongst others.

Liverpool Shops and independent retailers

If its clothes on the shopping list then head for the massive, three floors Open on Church Street or Wade Smith and Ted Baker at the bottom of Mathew Street. The ever-popular Drome Men on Bold Street is possibly Liverpool's best men's shop. Its hard to rate the best women's outlet because there are just so many - Liverpool is definitely designed for the ladies.

Liverpool has a massive John Lewis department store that will have something for everyone with its numerous floors. It is always easy to find Liverpool's biggest shopping centre by heading for the Radio City Tower which stands over 450 feet above sea level and dominates Liverpool's skyline. St Johns Shopping Centre, which you will find below the tower, houses over 70 mainly independent stores with shoes being the theme. Outside of Liverpool City Centre, consider the Albert Dock and remember that there are plenty of bars and restaurants to break-up the day.
