Eating out - Liverpool

Expect a typical city mix of great restaurants in Liverpool and amongst them there are two places that have to be tried out. The first is Tavern Co (0151 709 1070) dishing up probably the best Mexican food in the area. Secondly and located next door in Queen Square is Ask (0151 709 0080) a very trendy establishment serving great Italian pizza and pasta at reasonable prices. Both have great menus, good service and an atmosphere to match.

Liverpool eating

Bar and Grill (0870 44 22 860) is possibly the best designed restaurant in Liverpool - set in a large round room with huge painted ceilings. The menu is quite varied and the atmosphere is fantastic on a Friday and Saturday night. Interesting food, well presented with good service.

In Albert Dock, the choice of good eateries is almost overwhelming so be careful not to look at too many menus or you will just want them all!! The Blue Bar and Grill (151 709 7097) serves fabulous food (the starters are especially good) in the upstairs restaurant and is worth a visit if only for a relaxed drink downstairs at the bar with great views of the dock. The Pan American Club (0151 709 1156) is a real dining experience with a good menu, fantastic food and service to match. This huge restaurant really does have it all.
