Eating in Chester

When it comes to eating out, Chester restaurants are hard to beat. You can get most popular types of food here and restaurant standards are very good. New kid on the block Politic (01244 401014) currently has them all licked with a fantastic tapas style menu and excellent food - the pork souvlaki skewers really are to die for! Pastarazzi (01244 400029) is always busy and well worth it if you can get a table. Old favourite Zizzi (01244 341414) offers good value and very tasty Italian food in nice surroundings. Another Italian chain restaurant, Est Est Est (01244 400507) never disappoints and has tables outside for that short British summer. Check out contemporary Brasserie 10/16 (01244 322288), perfect for every occasion as it has a good menu, good food and prices are very reasonable.

Zizzi Italian Food

Indian and oriental restaurants are also plentiful. The Thai Orchid (01244 400661) is excellent and recently opened International Thai Cuisine (01244 310854) is also delivering equally high standards (the Sunday buffet should not be missed). Shere Khan Indian restaurant (01244 342349) has high standards of cuisine and serves a buffet on Sundays.

Be warned to book in advance during Chester races as the city becomes extremely busy with a lot of hungry people.
